Nerve team is joining OpenAI

The last two years building Nerve have been a journey. We have been heads down on enterprise AI agents, with search at the center of everything we built, and spent a lot of time thinking about what great search should feel like at work: fast, trustworthy, and deeply aware of context across all the places knowledge actually lives.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who supported us along the way, especially our customers. Thank you for trusting us early, pushing us with thoughtful feedback, and partnering with us as we built and iterated. We learned a ton working alongside you, and we are proud of what we created together.

After spending time with the team at OpenAI, it became clear they are quickly becoming the default way many people find and use information, and they are approaching search and information retrieval with the depth and ambition it deserves.

To that end, we are excited to share that the Nerve team is joining OpenAI. We are excited to get started and work on building search for ChatGPT at a much larger scale.

What does this mean for current customers?

Nerve's current product will be sunsetting in 30 days and all customer billing is suspended effective immediately.

For the next 30 days the service will continue to operate as usual and the team is around for any assistance required during this transition period. At the end of this period all customer data will be securely deleted.
